Advertising to children is common on television and online platforms. Some people think it should be banned, while others see it as normal marketing. I believe strict limits are necessary, but a total ban may be unrealistic. Children are less able to judge persuasive techniques, so ads for unhealthy food can shape habits early. Parents cannot monitor every video or game. Regulations on timing, product types, and clear labelling would reduce harm. However, advertising also funds free content and informs families about useful products such as educational apps. A complete ban could be hard to enforce across global platforms. Therefore, stronger rules and parental tools are a better path than an absolute ban.
