Investing in safer infrastructure and mandatory education programmes tackles root causes rather than symptoms. Drivers who understand defensive techniques are less likely to make dangerous mistakes even when they are not being watched. In conclusion, although strict penalties are useful as a deterrent, they should be paired with education and better roads. This balanced strategy is more sustainable for long-term road safety.
